ADMISSION POLICY

Preference is given to a registered, contributing and participating member of St. Anastasia Parish. Families are considered parishioners if they:

• are registered in St. Anastasia Parish,
• attend Mass on Sunday on a regular basis at St. Anastasia Church,
• contribute on a regular basis to the financial support of St. Anastasia Parish (using the envelope system),
• are involved and participate in St. Anastasia Parish programs, ministries, and volunteer opportunities.


Due to space limitations, the above does not guarantee admittance to St. Anastasia School. If there are additional places available, applications are accepted from non–parishioners and/or non-Catholics.

Children entering kindergarten must turn five on or before August 31.
Children entering first grade mustmust turn six on or before August 31.
Children entering second grade must turn seven on or before August 31.

The following tests are administered to incoming students:

Kindergarten students: School Readiness Test – Administered by Chancey & Bruce
Students in grades 1-8:  Entrance examination

St. Anastasia School will hold its registration of new students for the 2010-2011school year on Sunday, January 31, from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM. Parents of all prospective new students MUST REGISTER at this time. There will be a non-refundable $100.00 registration fee for all prospective students entering grades K through 8. In addition, there will be a separate screening fee of $45.00 (payable to Chancy and Bruce Educational Rescources) for all prospective students entering kindergarten. Please complete and submit the form on line and bring a copy with you on Sunday, January 31.

Please note that children entering kindergarten MUST turn five on or before August 31, 2010; children entering first grade must turn six on or before August 31, 2010; and children entering second grade must turn seven on or before August 31, 2010.

Everyone is invited to attend the school’s open house and to view the science projects of the third, fourth, and fifth graders displayed in the Science Center on January 31, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.

READMISSION POLICY

Being an active participant of St. Anastasia Parish, as outlined above, is one important component to being readmitted. Equally important is meeting St. Anastasia School’s behavior and academic expectations.

If the student does not meet the behavior and/or academic expectations of St. Anastasia School, as outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook, the student may not be invited to re-register for the following school year.
