Every year in early October, we invite our parish families to a special Blessing of the Animals in honor of the patron saint of animals and the environment, Saint Francis of Assisi (Feast day is October 4th). This year, our Blessing will take place in Pastors Plaza on Saturday October 1, 2022 at 10 AM. We look forward to seeing your families and pets. Please be mindful to keep pets on leashes or in an appropriate travel cage for a blessing by Father Leszek.

St. Francis of Assisi was born in the 12th century, lived in Italy, and founded the Franciscan Order, the women’s Order of St. Clare, and the lay Third Order of Saint Francis. He is remembered for his generosity to the poor, his willingness to minister to the lepers, and for his love for animals and nature. Click Here to learn more about St. Francis of Assisi and his miraculous work.
