Welcome to St. Anastasia Catholic Church

A Gathering Place

Welcome to St. Anastasia Catholic Church

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!

As the Pastor of St. Anastasia’s Catholic Church in Los Angeles, I want to welcome you to our parish website!  If you’re visiting our area and want to find out about Mass times or confessions or other offerings at our church, I hope you will find what you’re looking for and come to worship with us in our church!

If you’re a parishioner here, whether new or old, I hope the continually-updated information on this website will help you to stay very connected and engaged with our community of faith.

Our mission is to:

  • Celebrate God’s presence in our lives through the liturgy of Holy Eucharist and all other sacraments
  • Educate in the scriptures and the tradition of the Catholic Church
  • Grow in faith and holiness through personal and communal prayer
  • Witness to Christ and Gospel’s values by service to all those spiritual or physical needs
  • Foster and preserve a Christian community and unity where all are invited, welcomed, loved and appreciated.

I pray that you will join us as we worship, serve and grow in our love of Jesus Christ and each other. God bless you!

Letter from Fr. Leszek Semik to the

St. Anastasia Community

New Year’s Greetings!
As we begin the New Year, I wanted to share a scripture focusing on the first and last letters of the Greek Alphabet – “Alpha” and “Omega.” We have these two letters – A and Ω in the front of our new ambo.
As you know, Jesus refers to Himself as the Alpha and Omega in Revelation 22:13, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” We must remember that regardless of what we will face in the upcoming year, Jesus Christ will be there in the beginning and at the end!
When it comes to our future, remember that God already has been there! There is absolutely nothing that will come up in the days, weeks, and months ahead that will be a surprise to Him! I don’t know about you, but this gives me a lot of peace and hope for tomorrow. The key is to stay with God and follow Him. We run into difficulty when we try to go ahead of Him, as I have done many times!
I encourage you to look at this upcoming year with anticipation for the wonderful things God wants to do through you! Some people will be looking for hope, and we have that hope, and His Name is Jesus!
The events taking place all around the world are not a surprise to Jesus! He has already been to the future, and we can rest assured that if we follow Him all our days, we will be secure and safe in His loving arms.
All we are facing now, may not be understood in totality by any of us, but if we know the “Alpha” and “Omega,” we can rest assured He will be exalted! God is good all the time, and we can trust Him!
I want to encourage you today to allow the Lord to do “a new thing” in your heart, marriage, job, church, school, or community! While we all will continue to go through times of refining and even trials, we serve a God who is faithful and WILL bring us through as we trust Him!
We continue to appreciate your faithful prayers and financial support for the ministry here at our Parish as we forge ahead in faith this year!
Rest assured that we love you here at St. Anastasia and will continue to pray for God’s richest blessings in your life!
I trust you will have a Happy New Year!
Fr. Leszek
